Lake Log Chute
The Hawk Lake Log Chute was used extensively between 1880 and the 1930s
to move logs into the Gull River system of the Trent Watershed. It has
been continuously maintained in its original location by Stanhope Township.

The museum is situated in Glebe Park on the north shore of Head Lake
overlooking Haliburton Village. It was started by a local committee
as a Canadian Centennial project to commemorate the early pioneers of
the area.
